History of APRSCP
APRSCP came into being after a regional meeting of Cleaner Production workers in Thailand in 1997. During this meeting people agreed that a forum to discuss and take forward the ideas of Cleaner Production and share results regionally would speed up the process of getting the new concept accepted. Since then there have been 7 more meetings
(see conferences) where up to 400 professionals have joined together to discuss the latest issues and trends. Along the way, Cleaner Production has changed into the more challenging topic of Sustainable Production and Consumption.
The APRSCP network has grown and matured over the years and with its supporters has cooperated in projects such as monitoring Cleaner Production activities in the Asia Pacific region.
APRSCP is now poised to take a more exciting role in promoting sustainable activities in the region. |
